Last week, there was quite the furore surrounding the Thief movie and the production company that apparently revealed there was a new Thief game in the works. Turns out that may not actually be the case.
Eidos Montreal head David Anfossi decided to tweet something on the matter and basically nipped it in the bud before it went any further.
Apparently we’re developing Thief 5 game! So now we have a title… We just have to build a team,a budget… Forget it! @EidosMontreal pic.twitter.com/suiAgcK7sU

Anfossi could be trying to throw people off by being so flippant about the whole thing, but that’s not generally how these things work, so chances are that a Thief 5 (or 2, depending on how you want to look at this) isn’t happening, after all.
Bit disappointed he didn’t go with Thi5f in his mock-up logo, though.
