Apex Legends Season 17 release date

The Apex Legends Season 17 release date will be on May 9, 2023 according to the game’s official website. As mentioned before, the upcoming chapter is bringing a brand new Legend to the fray named Ballistic. It will also include a drastic update to the World’s Edge map, new weapon mastery challenges, ranked play enhancements, and more.

The new character’s addition to the Apex roster came in the form of a gripping trailer that tells the story of the gunslinging legend. Ballistic, whose real name is August Brinkman, was originally a participant of the Thunderdome Games – an older version of the current Apex Legends competition.

It was during this time that he became known for his reckless and boastful nature, which naturally made him a hit with the fans. However, it was also this attitude that caused a tragic, life-changing event to occur that would eventually shape his future. If you want to learn more about Ballistic’s tragic story, then you can check out the video below.

Season 17 will also feature a new battle pass offering wherein you’ll be able to acquire a variety of different items like Legendary cosmetics, reactive weapon skins, and more. If you want to enjoy these items with your friends, though, then we suggest reading up on our “Is Apex Legends crossplay?” piece so you know whether or not you can join up with other console players.
