At the GameStop Managers Conference, leaks for upcoming Apex Legends content managed to find their way onto the Internet, including a Halloween skin, a new weapon, and a new hero (via Polygon).

Apex Legends has had a successful year so far, and ‘outperformed [EA’s] expectations’ with a strong foundation for its player base, its venture as a competitive esport, and the highly popular Iron Crown Collection solo mode. Season 3 is promised to be ‘even bigger’ than Battle Charge, and although no date has been set yet, players got a sneak peek at what’s to come. Reddit user Teves3D posted images of the new hero, new weapon, and a Halloween skin.

After much speculation, it appears that Crypto will be the next Legend dropping into Kings Canyon. The image shows him with a flashy neon green and white jacket, perfect for evening runs as the days get shorter. He also matches the unknown figure seen at the start of the Battle Charge launch trailer. Data miner Dremurer found a file named ‘DEATH_SWORD’ in Apex Legends, but this hero holds a handgun. It could be that this is a cryptic name for one of Crypto’s abilities, but as the game is constantly updated, ‘DEATH_SWORD’ could be content that is now outmoded.

The Charge Rifle seems to be the next weapon headed to the battle royale. The images can’t tell us a whole lot about how the gun will work in game, but like most other Apex weapons, it’s from Titanfall. The Charge Rifle was an anti-Titan weapon that worked as an energy launcher with unlimited ammunition. In Apex, it will probably be toned down to work with PvP combat.

It also appears that physical editions of Apex Legends will hit the shelves. One box features tactical hero Bloodhound and the other showcases healer Lifeline, according to the leaked images. There’s no extra information on what will come with the physical editions or when they will arrive, but they look super polished.

Finally, Respawn loves to dress up its Legends, and Halloween is no exception. The images show off a Frankenstein’s monster inspired skin for Gibraltar, and we could expect that the roster of heroes will receive suitably spooky and wacky outfits for the occasion. There could be a biohazard suit Bloodhound, a Wicked Witch of the West Wraith, and a clockwork soldier Pathfinder. I’m good at this, aren’t I?

Respawn nor EA have officially confirmed the new content, but it seems pretty likely that it would launch with the next Season. Apex Legends is out now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
