BioWare is continuing to polish up Anthem following its messy launch last Friday, with the latest update tweaking the game's loot system. This is obviously pretty crucial for Anthem, being a loot shooter and all.

According to a post on Reddit by Ben Irving, the game's lead producer, BioWare is giving the boot to common and uncommon loot drops for Level 30 and above, reducing your chances of netting rubbish items for your troubles.

'This was a highly requested change and we agree, so that's that,' said Irving. Sounds good to me.

Elsewhere, the update will make it easier to craft masterworks, with only 15 embers instead of 25 required to craft one. Inscriptions are also being buffed, with Irving confirming they will be 'better for the items they are on.'

Anthem hasn't really had an easy ride yet, with numerous connectivity problems and poor loading times marring the game's launch. The shooter debuted at number one on the UK Chart, although it only managed half the physical sales of BioWare's previous effort, Mass Effect Andromeda.

Still, Bungie proved with Destiny it's possible to turn a game around despite a rocky release, so hopefully BioWare will do the same with Anthem.
