Innersloth, Schell Games and Robot Teddy have declared that Among Us VR, a virtual reality version of the stealth smash, will arrive on PS VR, Meta Quest 2 and PC this Holiday.
The VR version was first announced at the The Game Awards back in December. However, a new trailer debuted during the Meta Gaming Showcase last night to give us a release window and some more information. Just like its flatscreen younger brother, players are crewmates trapped aboard a space vessel in need of some serious maintenance. However, one player is an imposter trying to kill off the rest of the crew.
This iteration of course features plenty of minigame tasks for players to undertake, given a virtual reality twist for the new format. Expect then to actually be rewiring panels, inputting codes all the while quite literally watching your back for the traitor. And if you’re the traitor, you’ll also get to literally hide in the vents. It looks like you’ll be able to high-five your crewmates too, which is a nice touch. (Before the inevitable betrayal, of course.)
