The game promises to maintain all the fast paced action, mesmerising dribbling, physics-defying sliding tackles, and outrageous goals that made the original game so much fun. The new game will feature complete 360-degree control over your players’ movement and actions on the pitch, as well as a distinctive graphical style complete with cel-shaded players and enlarged heads.

John Hare, the designer and producer from the original game is onboard to ensure the game delivers in full on fans’ high expectations.

Following the success of Sensible Soccer’s recent mobile edition and the fantastic retro Plug ‘n’ Play TV version of the game, it’s great to bring a truly new version out for the first time in over eight years on all of the major formats,” said Jon Hare. “We are doing everything in our power to modernise and recreate the sheer playability, fun and footballing depth of the original and remind the playing public just what they have been missing out in the current market of slow, drab sims.

The game will come complete with lots of teams, multiplayer for up to four players and over 50 competitions. In addition to the included competitions, you will be able to create your own in the DIY competition mode. Similar DIY skills will be required in the game’s Custom Career mode where you can create your own team and compete in the game’s competitions. Plenty of other special content will be included to celebrate the game’s 15th anniversary.

Sensible Soccer for PS2, Xbox and PC will be released in Q2 of 2006.
