First off we have the new battery pack for the PSP in Japan. The new battery (PSP-280) will retail for 5,300 yen and will last around 20% longer than the current battery. Sony also plans to release a new lower price 1GB Memory Stick Duo with official PSP branding. This is also only currently announced for Japan, retailing at 9,500 yen, but as with the battery we expect it to make its way west.

Meanwhile in the UK, Sony has announced a few PSP game release dates. Despite having been a North American launch title, Twisted Metal: Head On is due for release over here on November 4th. This is followed by Namco Museum Battle Collection on November 11th and Pursuit Force on November 18th. Also expected in November is World Rally Championship, though no firm date has been set.

Into the first quarter of 2006 we will see the release of Lemmings, Ape Escape: On the Loose and Key of Heaven. In all there is plenty to keep you happy should you own a PSP.
