Update: 343 Industries has shown off an hour of Halo Infinite campaign co-op gameplay, ahead of this week’s test. It was part of a live stream that 343 Industries held last night.

Check out the gameplay below:

Original Story:

343 Industries has said that it still plans to launch the campaign co-op test for Halo Infinite this week, but that it is not guaranteed.

The studio previously said that it was aiming to test the campaign co-op this week. It was missing from the game’s launch, last year. In a post on the Halo Waypoint site, 343 said they “targeted to run from the week of July 11.”

Many took this to mean that the mode would launch on that date.

However, according to Brian Jarrard, community director at 343, the intended messaging was never that:

“PSA: The team is still working on our upcoming #HaloInfinite network co-op Insider flight build. While we always said our ‘target was the week of July 11’, many sites reported it simply as ‘starting July 11.’ Still hoping for this week, but it will not start today.

“Flighting is fluid as the process entails discovering issues in initial rings and resolving them before expanding to a larger audience. A few issues were discovered in our current flight ring and the team is working to address.

“Apologies to folks who expected the flight today – we’re eager to get this into your hands but we also want to ensure it’s a positive and worthwhile flight experience. Still targeting this week but it’s day by day as work continues. Ty for your patience and understanding.”

Halo Infinite was, despite its messy launch, a decent game. The campaign was fun, if a little underwhelming, and the multiplayer was excellent. Check out VideoGamer’s review here.
