Over the last few years, the distant dream of being able to play with your pals on other platforms became a reality in plenty of games. Now in Fortnite, Call of Duty and more it has never been easier to play with people who don’t have the same console as you. So it would make sense that the biggest football game on the planet would have this too. So we have come here to see if FIFA 23 features cross play too.

Does FIFA 23 Have Cross Play?

The answer is yes… sort of. The majority of game modes in FIFA 23 have cross play, this includes Ultimate Team, Volta and Seasons. Cross play is switched on as a default on FIFA 23, and when you’re playing someone who is not on the same system as you, they have a different icon next to their name.

The biggest, and most notable, omission from cross play on FIFA 23 is Pro Clubs. For some reason, the game mode that could probably use this feature the most doesn’t.

Will Pro Clubs Get Cross Play?

Pro Clubs is the only game mode in FIFA 23 not to have cross play support. Delaney Leatherdale, Pro Clubs Producer at EA, said the reason why there is no crossplay support for Pro Clubs in FIFA 23 is there is ‘added complexity’  due to the number of players involved.

However, all hope is not lost as EA did say they were looking toward getting cross play into FIFA 23. This came after significant backpack from the community.Â
