WWE 2K24 MyGM Mode guide, new features, and tips

If you’ve always wanted to be in charge of creating the carnage, then WWE 2K24 MyGM Mode is for you. Taking on the role of a general manager for one of wrestling’s biggest brands, it’s your job to draft the best roster of Superstars and put on some events for the ages.

It’s not as easy as signing the best and putting on spectacular fight after spectacular fight, however. You will need to work within a budget, while also growing your fan base and revenue. Think you’ve got what it takes?

There are some incredible Superstars on the WWE 2K24 roster and you can manage their fate, create new rivalries, and take them to the next level. It won’t be plain sailing though. You will be pitted against up to three other GMs, all looking to make their brand the best.

What is MyGM Mode in WWE 2K24?

MyGM Mode in WWE 2K24 lets you take on the role of a general manager to produce the most exciting shows around. Draw in bigger audiences and better revenues than your rival GM(s), to become the top dog.

You draft a roster of Superstars, book matches, set up rivalries, and manage the budget for your brand. Each week you will be looking to outdo your rival GM(s) in rating battles.

The goal is to have the best brand around by the time you get to WrestleMania. Whichever GM has the most popular show with the most revenue wins the mode. 

Additionally, in 2K24 you have the final goal of being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Earning 10 Hall of Fame trophies by completing Seasonal Challenges will see you secure your place with other legends of the sport.

WWE 2K24 MyGM New Features

2K has expanded MyGM Mode in WWE 2K24. There are four new general managers added to the roster. These are Ted DiBiase, Paul Heyman, Theodore Long, and William Regal.

A new brand has also made its way into the game. You can now select to manage ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling).

The ability to trade Superstars between brands and manage contracts gives a more realistic aspect to MyGM in WWE 2K24. Talent scouts have also been added to help you sign the best. There are also more match types than in WWE 2K23.

MyGM now has the new Superstar Journey too. This allows Superstars to earn XP, train, and level up to gain new benefits after participating in matches.

General Manager Unique Powers List 

The first thing you will need to do when starting a new MyGM save is select which general manager you want to play as. Each GM has a unique power, so think carefully before your selection.

With four new GMs added in WWE 2K24, there are four new powers to get your head around too. You can select up to four players to join the mode, which can be a combination of human and CPU controlled.

As well as the 11 regular general managers to choose from, you can also select a Custom Superstar to play as. This means you can use a custom-created character that you have designed or have downloaded from Community Creations. You could also edit any of the Superstars from the WWE 2K24 roster, save them as a custom character, and then select them in MyGM.

Mick Foley	Cactus Jacked	Select an opposing brand, 2 superstars who participate in their show next week will be injured (selected at random, cannot be used in Week 25).
Ted DiBiase	Million Dollar Man	(x2 Per Season) All matches are free to book this week.
William Regal	Power of the Punch	Select an opposing brand. All superstars on their roster lose 5 Popularity at the start of next week. (Cannot be used in Week 25)

Brand Unique Powers List

Once you have selected your GM, you will need to pick which brand you want to manage. Again, the varying brands have varying powers, so try to pick a combination that will complement your chosen general manager.

WWE 2K24 MyGM has the additional brand inclusion of ECW, with its own unique effect.

ECW	Extreme Rules	(x2 Per Season) Block all opposing brands from using 3 randomly selected champions in next week’s show. (Cannot be used in Week 25)

MyGM Available Match Types

You are still unable to book match rules for 5-Superstar, 6-Superstar, Handicap Matches, or special matches such as Royal Rumble in WWE 2K24 MyGM Mode. There are the usual One on One, Tag Team, Triple Threat, and Fatal 4-Way options. 

However, three of the four new match types added this year, Ambulance, Casket, and Special Guest Referee, are all included.

Promo Types

As well as booking matches, you can book for certain Superstars to do promos, with each type offering a different effect. There are three new promo types in WWE 2K24, Class Change, Training, and Tag Team Call Out. 

The following promo types can be booked in MyGM:

Self Promo	$2,500	Chance of increasing or lowering the Superstar’s popularity, based on their performance.
Call Out	$3,000	Chance to begin a rivalry, or increase the level of an existing rivalry between the two Superstars involved.
Role Change	$10,000	Swaps the current role of the performer to the opposite role.
Advertising	$0	Generates extra revenue, with a chance of lowering the Superstar’s popularity with a poor performance.
Charity	$12,000	Generate a small bonus of fans for the week, with a chance of a small popularity boost for the Superstar.
Class Change	$10,000	Swaps the current class of the performer to the class selected as their bonus class perk. See the Superstar details screen for more info.
Training	$5,000	Increase the selected Superstar’s ring XP.
Tag Team Call Out	$3,000	Chance to begin a Tag Team rivalry, or increase the level of an existing Tag Team rivalry between the four Superstars involved.

MyGM Match Booking Tips

There are a few basic tips to remember when booking matches in MyGM Mode. First off, make sure you create fights between the right mix of Superstar classes and roles. 

Better matches will be fought when pairing the following Superstars against each other:

• Giants vs. Cruiserweights
• Fighters vs. Bruisers
• Specialists will work well with anyone
• Fan Favorites vs. Rule Breakers

Stacking multiple classes and roles that work well together will create even better results.

Obviously, the better a Superstar’s Popularity and Ring Level, the more of a draw they will be. Make sure to raise these levels by putting your Superstars in matches, doing promos, training, and using Power Cards. This will result in better match ratings. 

More exciting match types such as Hell in a Cell or the new Ambulance Match will create better show quality and give you better ratings. However, you will need to manage your budget wisely, as the grander a match, the more it will cost.

Finally, the flow of your show is vital to gain a quality score. To do this you want to follow the expected drama curve as best you can. 

Start with a bang in your Opener, then drop in your worst fight of the show in the first Mid Card. From there, increase the drama in your second Mid Card, before ending with a spectacular Main Event, which should be your best brawl of the show.

WWE 2K24 MyGM Career Achievements List

To enter the Hall of Fame in WWE 2K24 MyGM you need to gain 10 Hall of Fame Trophies. These are achieved by completing Career Achievements and Seasonal Challenges throughout your career. Regularly look at your Career Progress to check on what milestones you have and still need to achieve.
