- There are six maps in The Finals: Las Vegas, Monaco, Seoul, Skyway Stadium, SYS$HORIZON, and Kyoto 1568.
- Some maps can have additional modifiers called variants, which can change the way map looks or operates.
The Finals originally launched with four maps to play, adding one new map in Season 2 and another one in Season 3. What makes these maps so fun is the ability to destroy and remodel the landscape. From walls, floors, ceilings – everything can be burst open to get another avenue of attack or escape. In addition, some maps will have special modifiers called variants, which further randomize your approach by shifting small details or conditions.
The Finals full map list and their variants
There are six maps currently available in The Finals:
- Las Vegas
- Monaco
- Seoul
- Skyway Stadium
- SYS$HORIZON
- Kyoto 1568
Most maps have a chance to be modified by a variant. These random effects can greatly change how you approach the map. For example, changing the way Cashout points work will make the task of getting them very different than it would be on a Standard Issue version of the map.
Las Vegas
The loud and bright casino map, Vegas is built up of four main structures connected by wide-open streets. The map is full of panned glass windows which are always fun to shatter through. Officially, the in-game arena is called Las Vegas 2032 and is sponsored HOLTOW. There are three variants of Vegas, but one of them was removed during Season 2.
Variant | Effect |
---|---|
Standard Issue | The standard arena. |
Tripwires and Turrets (removed) | The map is strewn with turrets and landmines, making moving across it treacherous. Watch your step! |
Sandstorm | Sandstorm obscures the map, building sand dunes and cutting electricity. |
Monaco
Monaco is based on the Rock of Monaco, a real-world district of the City of Monaco. A large cathedral dominates the middle of the map, with plazas, shops, and parks dotted around the arena. It doesn’t provide many high vantage points, instead focusing on horizontal battles around the city’s many structures. The official in-game name of the arena is Monaco 2014, sponsored by OSPUZE. There are three possible variants:
Variant | Effect |
---|---|
Standard Issue | The standard arena. |
Duck and Cover | A duck mascot crashes through the arena, destroying everything in its path. |
Suspended Structures | Cashout points are suspended on wires high above the arena. |
Seoul
Seoul is represented by a vast urban sprawl, with multi-storied buildings providing lots of verticality around the map. The arena can be divided into four key locations: hospital, apartments, mall, and data center. The in-game name of the arena is Seoul 2023, sponsored by ISEUL-T. This map also has three possible variants:
Variant | Effect |
---|---|
Standard Issue | The standard arena. |
Under Construction | Part of the map is replaced with a construction site. |
Moving Platforms | Vaults or Cashout points are on platforms that move around the arena. |
Skyway Stadium
Skyway Stadium isn’t based on any real location and is instead a virtual mix of elements from Seoul and Monaco. There are low-rise and greenery-filled areas reminiscent of Monaco, while the other side of the map features tall apartment complexes like Seoul. The map is oblong in shape, just like a stadium would be, with cheering crowds visible on all sides. In-world, the arena is sponsored by Volpe and comes with three variants:
Variant | Effect |
---|---|
Standard Issue | The standard arena. |
Up, Down, Left, Right | Vaults or Cashout points are suspended high in the air, while also moving around the arena on platforms. |
High Rise | The central area is elevated to provide a new high ground. |
SYS$HORIZON
Added in Season 2, SYS$HORIZON is often simply referred to as Horizon. This map is bright, glitchy and neon-coloured, representing a city made out of large pixel-like blocks. You can see the horizon of the map still “loading” as you traverse it. It’s made up of five main areas divided by city streets: library, offices, museum, art gallery, and campus. In-world, the map isn’t sponsored and was instead added by the hackers from CNS. Currently, there is only one variant:
Variant | Effect |
---|---|
Standard Issue | The standard arena. |
Kyoto 1568
Kyoto is the latest map, added to The Finals with Season 3. It represents 16th-century Japan, set on the slope of a mountain. The centre is dominated by a temple complex, while the surrounding areas are dotted with various buildings at different elevation points. The map is still brand new, so there is currently no information who’s the in-world sponsor of the arena. Kyoto has three possible variants:
Variant | Effect |
---|---|
Standard Issue | The standard arena. |
Moving Platforms | Vaults or Cashout points are on platforms that move around the arena. |
Suspended Structures | Cashout points are suspended on wires high above the arena. |
