You can preload Stellar Blade as of April 19, 2024. This is a whole week before the game’s official release. Here are the steps you need to take to preload Stellar Blade:
- Pre-order the normal or digital deluxe edition of Stellar Blade through the PSN.
- Once bought, find the game in your Game Library.
- Once you’ve found the game, select it and it will take you to the game page on the PSN. Press the ‘Download’ button to begin preloading the game. This can only be done after the preload is available, which is April 19.
- After you’ve preloaded the game, there will be a countdown timer ticking away until the official release date.
- Launch the game on April 26 when it releases and you can play it immediately.
It should go without saying, but if you have bought the physical edition of the game in preparation then you will not be able to pre-install Stellar Blade. By preloading everything, you can get into the game as soon as it goes live since all the files have been downloaded.

While there is no official word on how large the game is to download, some sources are reporting the Stellar Blade download size is clocking in at around 30GB, which might sound a bit on the small side.
