Stellar Blade officially launches later this April and the demo for the game has shown off visceral weighty combat we can expect more from in the full release. As the launch draws near, everyone is painfully aware that the game is a PS5, exclusive, but is there a chance Stellar Blade could come to PC, either via Steam or Epic Games? We think it’s likely, but it stands to reason Stellar Blade won’t be available on Windows for a long time.

✓ Quick Answer

Will Stellar Blace come to Windows PC?

No, Stellar Blade will not release on Windows PC devices at launch. But we expect it could be planned eventually.

Will Stellar Blade be released on PC?

No, Stellar Blade will not be released on Windows PC devices, neither through Steam or Epic Games when it launches. Stellar Blade will launch as a Sony PlayStation 5 exclusive on April 26, 2024, and there is currently no word of a port to any other console or device. This partnership with Sony grants explicit exclusivity, and this fact hasn’t stopped other games from jumping from PS5 to PC after a few years of exclusivity.

Why we think Stellar Blade will come to Windows

There are several examples to draw from, which gives us hope that Stellar Blade will eventually come to PC via Steam or Epic Games. Previous PS5 exclusives, such as Persona 5, Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and God of War, to name a few, all began as PlayStation exclusives. As it stands now, all of these games are available on PC, albeit after a window of exclusivity. Due to this, it is seemingly becoming the norm that Sony allows its games to be ported, typically after a year or two.

This is merely our speculation, but we think that it’s a safe bet due to how Sony has handled this in the past. Time will tell if this is the case, so we will have to wait and see. The game has been developed in Unreal Engine 4, so it stands to reason that PCs could handle playing the game. As it stands, there have been no official communications from Shift Up, the developers of Stellar Blade.

When and if this changes, we will be sure to update this page to accurately reflect the information about any Stellar Blade ports to Steam or the Epic Games Store.
