If you’re interested in giving the Starfield XP glitch a go – here’s what we’ve found.

While we’ve already covered all of the ‘legit’ ways to level up fast in Starfield, here’s a guide for all those rogue players out there. Anybody out there with a bad bone in their body knows that fun glitches and cheats build the foundation of fun games. Console commands are a pretty quick way to get what you want in-game, so let’s have a look at what else can be done.

How to use the Starfield XP glitch

The Starfield XP glitch is a pretty slow and mundane process, however, if you’re committed it’s going to help you level up pretty fast.

You’re going to be able to earn at least 40-80XP every time you kill a beast, and you’re going to be able to make use of changing difficulties to get there. Compared to how you might use console commands to work-around grinding for experience, this way will stop you from losing out on achievements. On the other hand, you can always give the Achievement Enabler Mod a go instead.

Here’s how to do the glitch:

  • Change your game difficulty to Very Hard
  • Find a planet with plenty of fauna (abundant or moderate)
  • Land on the planet and change your difficulty to Very Easy
  • Slaughter
  • You will be rewarded with ‘Very Hard’ tier XP

A few planets that we’d recommend is the ELW in the Hawking System. You can find it towards the right of the star map. Other options include Eridani II, or the Schrodinger III planet in the Schrodinger Star System.

How long does the Starfield XP glitch take?

The good thing about this particular Starfield XP glitch is that you’re going to be slaughtering innocent animals. Rather than mind-numbingly fumbling through menu screens as XP glitches in other games might demand, this one is at least stimulating and, dare-I-say, satisfying. Vegetarians beware.

This glitch will invoke a certain nostalgia for anyone keen on grinding. In that case, this glitch takes as long or as short as you need. Whether you quickly need to jump up a level, or you’re looking to add on about ten more, this trick will work for you. However you should be aware that as levels approach 30 and onwards – it’s going to take a while.
