The Starfield Achievement Enabler mod means you won’t miss out on trophies while you play modded and hacked versions of the game – so here’s how to install and use it.

Starfield mods are giving players of Bethesda’s latest game near unlimited scope to adjust performance and optimisation issues. For example, a DLSS mod is out there, while there’s also mods to put Phil Spencer’s face into your flashlight, or the Batman logo instead. While these are quality of life changes, and funny gimmicks to make you laugh, they will make it so that you can no longer be rewarded with achievements for playing the game. If you’re the type of person who loves to complete games at 100% but you also like high-fidelity games, this might be an issue for you.

That’s where the Starfield Achievement Enabler mod comes in, which will be granting you the ability to earn achievements despite whatever cheats and hacks you have installed.

Here’s how to use the Starfield Achievement Enabler mod

It’s pretty simple to install the Starfield Achievement Enabler mod on Windows, though there’s a slightly different process for those on Xbox Game Pass than on Steam. Firstly, whichever version you’re going to be trying this on, you’re going to need to download the mod. You can pick it up from Nexus Mods here, though you will need to register for an account.

After that, you’re going to need to download and install the Ultimate ASI Loader package, which will help you install mods into your game with ease.

How to install Starfield Achievement Enabler (Steam)

  • Download bink2w64.dll from the ASI Loader GitHub
  • Go to your Starfield installation folder (steamapp\common\starfield)
  • Rename the existing bink2w64.dll file to bink2w64Hooked.dll
  • Copy the downloaded version of bink2w64.dll to the Starfield folder
  • Create a new folder called Plugins
  • Download the mod, and copy starfield-achievementenabler.asi to your new Plugins folder

How to install Starfield Achivement Enabler (Game Pass / UWP)

It’s possible that some versions of Starfield on UWP already have a dinput8.dll file in their Installation folder. If that’s the case, you should follow the above instructions below, rather than following those for Steam. If you already have bink2w64.dll file as well, or one or the other, you can follow either set of instructions. However, you’d be better off following the instructions for UWP.

  • Download dinput8.dll from the ASI Loader GitHub
  • Go to Starfield installation folder (XboxGames\Starfield\Content) and rename dinput8.dll to wininet.dll
  • Copy the version of dinput8.dll downloaded from Github over to your folder
  • Create a Plugins folder
  • Download the mod, and copy starfield-achievementenabler.asi to your new Plugins folder

After you’ve done this, you’re going to be able to play hacked saves in Starfield, while also being rewarded with all of the same achievements.
