How to fix Stardew Valley Missing Executable error

The Stardew Valley error you are seeing can come up if you’ve been using mods. Mods are great for a game, especially on PC where they’re usable, but they aren’t totally without issues. If so, your start-up file might have been changed. To check, go to the game library on Steam, right-click on Stardew and select Properties.

There, find the Launch Options text box. There should be nothing written here. If there is, delete it and restart the video game. This should allow you to fully boot up the game and get back into your world. If this isn’t an issue, then there’s still another troubleshooting method you can do.

The Missing Executable issue can be alleviated by deleting and then installing the game file again. Go back to the game library, right click, and select to fully uninstall the game. This will give the game file a bit of a reset, and it will allow you to download again.

This is a useful tactic for any issue if it persists. Just delete and install again if something isn’t working properly. It shouldn’t be an issue with your world file, as long as you have it stored. If it’s stored in Steam, then you won’t lose every bit of progress by doing this method. Your farm will remain!
