A good portion of the artifacts you’ll come across in Stalker 2 aren’t much to write home about and are best flogged to the various traders across the Zone for a handsome profit. But, some artifacts, such as the rare Liquid Rock, provide meaty buffs that make tracking them down well worth the trouble, especially if you’re diving into late game zones where the Zone isn’t just hazardous, but actively hostile.

Liquid Rock is classified as a legendary artifact, which lets you know it’s really rather special, granting maximum radio and chemical protection. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get the Liquid Rock artifact in Stalker 2. Note that, there’s a bit of RNG involved here, so be prepared for some save scumming.

Where to find the Liquid Rock artifact in Stalker 2

To get the Liquid Rock artifact, you’ll need to farm acid anomalies, recognizable by their yellowish-green toxins emitting a similarly colored gas cloud. The best place to do this is the Poisonous Hole to the northwest of the Slag Heap in the Garbage region of the Zone.

Head to about 100 meters away from the chemical anomaly field and make a manual save. Pull out your detector (a Bear detector makes life easier if you’ve found one by this point) and go into the anomaly. Track down the artifact and grab it. If it isn’t the Liquid Rock the first time around, rinse and repeat until you get the desired artifact.

You can do this at any acid anomaly across the map. The Liquid Rock drop chance is low, but you can increase it by pushing further through the main story mission, living through more highly-lethal emission events, and by equipping higher tier suits and masks.

Liquid Rock stats

  • Radio protection – Maximum
  • Chemical protection Maximum
  • Among its less apparent properties, the Liquid Rock exhibits an analgesic effect on migraines. To ensure the desired result, it is necessary to carry the artifact on one’s person.
