Splatoon 3 – Splatfest Details

Splatoon 3 Splatfest Teams

Splatfests usually run over 24 hours, encouraging players to raise their ranking as much as possible to obtain rewards by the end of the event. During the event, the Regular and Ranked multiplayer battle options are replaced by Splatfest Battle.

Players are not only judged on their combat performance during each event but also on the size of their team and the amount of ground they have covered. These three factors combine together to generate your Splatfest Title, ranging from Fan to Ruler. The better your title, the more rewards received once the event is over.

Players are awarded Super Sea Snails, based on their performance during the event. These powerful items allow you to add or reroll sub-ability slots for your gear, allowing you a great deal of customization and flexibility for your Splatoon playstyle.

Splatoon 3 Splatfest makes for exciting bursts of multiplayer action and provide incredible rewards, without wearing out their welcome by replacing existing modes for too long.

Under New Management

Deep Cut New Announcers

Splatfest has been hosted by the Squid Sisters and Off The Hook in previous Splatoon entries, and Splatoon 3 looks to be changing hosts once more. Deep Cut are in charge of Splatfests for this new entry, and they’re bringing a few changes to the format with them.

Splatfest in the past have had players choose from one of two team options that they then compete in over the course of the event. But the first post-launch Splatfest for Splatoon 3 is shaking things up. Instead of choosing between two teams as is tradition, players will be selecting from three options this time around.

Although Splatfests stoke the fires of competition and encourage players to pick a side, don’t expect them to provoke huge division between teams. Even when splitting up its playerbase for the sake of competition, Splatoon always keeps things light and friendly. Splatfest has players group up over simple opinions like ‘Cats or Dogs?’

UPDATE: Splatfest 2 – Splatoon 3 X Pokemon Winners

Splatoon 3’s second post-launch Splatfest has come to a close, and the winner has been decided. The crossover with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has finished just in time for the newest Pokemon game’s launch. Out of Team Grass, Team Fire, and Team Water, Team Water has pulled out all the stops and claimed victory, winning in every single category.

Expect many more Splatfests to come in the future for Splatoon 3, and we’ll keep you updated with all the details when they do.
