Wondering how long it will take you to beat Revenge of the Savage Planet? The sequel to 2020’s Journey to the Savage Planet promises stacks of wacky, carefree fun roaming alien planets and shooting goo at bizarre critters to the rhythm of playful gags and light-hearted one-liners. The package here is reminiscent of action platformers of yesteryear and is sure to entice those looking for a spot of easy fun.
f that all sounds enticing and you’re wondering how much time you’ll need to invest to get through the game, we’re here to help. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how long to beat Revenge of the Savage Planet with estimates for both casual and completionists playthroughs.
How long is Revenge of the Savage Planet
To beat Revenge of the Savage Planet, most players will need to set aside 12-15 hours. This will cover the main story line along with a little bit of side content and stands as a reliable average for most players. We estimate that the speediest players can see the credits roll in just under 10 hours, though that will mean skipping a lot of the optional parts of the game.
Those aiming for that coveted 100% along with all trophies and achievements are looking at roughly 20 hours, give or take a few hours each way depending on familiarity with action adventure games. There are four main planets to explore and a fifth one towards the later part of the game. On each one, you’ll not only find a cast of odd creatures but also collectibles, discoveries, and other optional side content to sink your teeth into including Challenge Groups, Shrines, side quests, and other challenges.
While we pretty set on our estimate after our own playthrough, it will be interesting to see what the average playtime levels out at in a couple of weeks time. We do expect the 12 hour mark to be the experience for the majority of players, though.
If you’re looking at how to jump in, the game is available on Game Pass for all those with an active subscription. No Switch port on the cards yet, though.
