Some cheats require you to buy a certain newspaper before you can enter them. Trying to enter them before buying the required newspaper will give you an error message telling you that you can’t do it yet.

How to enter cheats in Red Dead Redemption 2

To enter cheat codes in Red Dead Redemption 2, you need to follow a few simple steps:

1. Pause the game and open up the Settings menu
2. Press Y on Xbox or Triangle on PlayStation to open up the Cheats menu
3. Press Y on Xbox or Triangle on PlayStation to open up a keyboard
4. Enter one of the cheat codes above to unlock a cheat
5. Toggle the cheat on from the Cheats menu

You only need to enter each code once. After you enter it, you can simply toggle the cheat on and off whenever you like. Be aware that while you have cheats activated, you cannot get any achievements. The game also won’t save while you have cheats active, to stop you from making your save file unable to get achievements and progress.
