With the launch of Fallout London and its need to be backwards compatible, players are noticing a few bugs and crashes with the game. One of those issues is the perk system and screen. Some fixes seem to be working; although not for everyone. Here’s a roundup of suggestions we know are working for players.

List of Fallout London perk fixes

From our understanding, the mod screen seems to be an issue for players installing extra mods other than the basic installation from GoG and the Downgrader. One of the most common problems with the perk screen crashing is because of ultrawide monitors. The game can just about support 1440p using the base Fallout 4 game launch. Anything higher than that on the pre-gen version suffers.

So, most people are getting around it with the Truby9 Ultrawidescreen levelupmenux compatibility fix mode. You can get it here from Nexus Mods.

Alternatively, if you’re having trouble with the perks list not loading, it can be down to the mod manager. One player from Reddit reported that the Fallout 4 Script Extender is the better mod to load over the Mod Organizer 2. Script Extender is also recommended by the developers of the Fallout London mod, which will greatly help any players trying to run the game.

If that doesn’t work, try to give your Fallout 4 Script Extender on Steam the launch parameters of “-forcesteamloader“. You can do this by right-clicking Fallout 4 on Steam, and then clicking Properties. From there, go to the bottom of the new window and copy and paste that code into the launch options.

There’s also a fix for uninstalling other mod managers. Another player reported uninstalling the moddrop client helped their perk screen load too. Again, if you’re running anything other than the GoG FO:L launch, or the downgraded base Steam version, then you may encounter issues.
