While it’s possible to meet many new friends when playing Pokemon Unite, which might prompt you to add them as a friend on the spot, some players are not how they seem at first. This is an issue that’s present in every online game, regardless of whether it’s on mobile, PC, or console.

Fortunately, these games also give you the option to unfriend whatever player you want, and Pokemon Unite is no different. Although the process of unfriending someone is similar on both the Nintendo Switch and mobile versions of the game, there are still some minor differences.

How to Remove Friends in Pokemon Unite on the Switch?

The process of removing a friend on the Nintendo Switch version of Pokemon Unite is rather straightforward.

1. First, load up Pokemon Unite on your switch, and log in to your account
2. Then, press ‘X’ to open the menu
3. From here, scroll down until you see the ‘friends’ option and click on it.
4. As soon as you click it, you’ll be able to see your entire friend list which will contain every single Pokemon Unite player you have added.
5. Select and click on the name of the player you want to be removed from your friend list, which will give you the option to unfriend them.
6. Click on it, and when asked for confirmation, select the affirmative option.

How to Remove Friends in Pokemon Unite on Mobile?

Although similar to the Nintendo Switch version, because of a lack of buttons, you’ll have to tap a specific icon to go to the friend menu where the unfriend option will be.

1. Load up Pokemon Unite on your mobile device and log in to your account.
2. On the main menu, tap on the picture of your avatar on the top left to open the menu.
3. From here, scroll down until you see the ‘friends’ option, and tap on it.
4. As soon as you tap on it, you’ll be shown your entire friend list.
5. Look for the player you want to remove from said friend list and tap on the icon located at the right of that player’s name.
6. When asked for confirmation, tap on ‘yes’, and that will unfriend the player.

Before you go on to remove people from your friend list, there are still some things you should know. Firstly, don’t worry about the player being notified that you’ve unfriended them, as they do not get any such notifications. Of course, they may eventually realize you aren’t on their friend list after a period of time.

Next, unfriending a player will make it so any bonuses between the two of you will no longer apply, although if you’re worried about your friendship level, then you’ll be happy to know that it can be recovered if you re-add a friend in the given time period.

Can you unlink an account in Pokemon Unite?
