If you want to catch Squirtle, you need to upgrade the Canyon Biome in the Terarium. This is done by contributing 3,000 Blueberry Points (BP) to the Terarium Club at the League Club Room computer. Once that is done, you will start seeing starter Pokemon in the area such as Turtwig and Chespin.

Squirtle can be found in the bottom part of teh Canyon Biome. While the map markers cover a decent area, we have mainly found Squirtle near the rivers so be sure to check there first and avoid the grassy plateaus or cliffs.

You will encounter Squirtle between levels 50 and 70. Be sure to bring a Pokemon with you that knows the move False Swipe to make it easier to weaken Squirtle without making it faint.

To evolve Squirtle, you simply need to evolve it. Squirtle will evolve into Wartortle at level 16. Wartortle will then evolve into Blastoise at level 36. Since you will catch Squirtle above this level, you only need to level it up once to get it to evolve into Wartortle. You will then only need to level up Wartortle once to get Blastoise.
