How to catch Cobalion in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk DLC
To catch Cobalion, you need to complete Blueberry Quests (BBQs) for Mr. Snacksworth until he gives you the Cobalion Treat. For us, it took 120 quests but others appear to have gotten it after completing only 10 quests. Cobalion is a Pokemon Violet exclusive so those playing Pokemon Scarlet will need to complete online quests to obtain this treat.
Let’s break down everything you need to know to get this Pokemon:
Cobalion Location in Pokemon Indigo Disk
Once you get the Cobalion Treat, you will be able to find this Legendary Pokémon by traveling to Paldea. Specifically, head to the Fury Falls waypoint on the northeastern side of the map. From there, climb the cliff to the west and you will find Cobalion waiting near the cliff.
How to catch Cobalion
Cobalion is a fighting and steel-type Pokemon meaning that it is weak to fighting, fire, and ground-type moves. Any of these move types will be good to use against this Pokemon. As usual, when catching a Pokemon, make sure to have a Pokemon with the move Fury Swipes. This will allow you to prevent Cobalion’s health from dropping below 1HP.
For us, we used the move Body Press to weaken Cobalion before chipping away at the remainder of its health. Once it was low, we caught it using an Ultra Ball.
Cobalion has a lot of resistance
Watch out for Cobalion’s resistances. It is resistant to grass, ice, bug, rock, dragon, dark, and steel-type moves. Poison type moves also don’t affect this Pokemon.
Cobalion stats, level, and abilities
Cobalion will be level 70 when you encounter it just like all of the other legendary Pokemon in the DLC. This Pokemon has the following abilities:
- Justified – Attack is raised by one stage when the Pokemon is hit by a dark-type move
