According to CD Projekt, the Phantom Liberty expansion only supports SSDs. So before you consider buying the DLC, be sure to check if your PC meets the above requirements. “If you’re using mods, we recommend uninstalling them before Update 2.0,” said CD Projekt in an X (formerly Twitter) post. Due to the sheer amount of changes, they might cause more issues than usual. Wait until the modding community updates them to the new version of the game.” 

The Phantom Liberty expansion is set to launch tomorrow September 21 and you’ll have to buy the new DLC to play.
