Whether or not No Rest for the Wicked is on Switch matters a lot for Nintendo gamers. With a wide variety of gaming consoles to provide everyone with different options, the availability of certain games on specific consoles is important. The Nintendo Switch doesn’t get every single wide release, but a lot of them do come to the hybrid console. Will No Rest for the Wicked be one of them?

Will No Rest for the Wicked come to Switch?

No Rest for the Wicked is not planned for the Nintendo Switch. The game’s early access release date only has one console in mind: Windows. The developers will eventually fully develop and release the game to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Nevertheless, it’s not coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Moon Studios’ (the studio behind Ori and the Will of the Wisps/Blind Forest) latest title isn’t a console exclusive. It’s simply going to be too much for the Switch to handle. By now, you know what hardware limitations the latest Nintendo console has. So no one on that platform will be visiting Isola Sacra.

There is one more important caveat to this question. The game will be fully released on other consoles in Q1 Fiscal 2025 per the financial reports, which means April, May, or June of next year. By that time, it’s very possible that the leaked and rumored Nintendo Switch 2 will be out by then. It wil at least probably be announced.

Zach’s Tips

Nintendo has been pretty quiet about the Switch’s sequel, but it’s more than likely coming soon. The Switch is in its seventh year, and it’s time for them to upgrade. By the time No Rest for the Wicked comes out, more information will be known about it at least.

The new console may still not have the hardware necessary for a game like No Rest for the Wicked, but it has a chance. Until that console is announced, we can’t predict what games will or won’t be available, aside from Nintendo exclusives. Developers also can’t reveal that they’re releasing a game for a console that doesn’t exist yet, although even a new Switch will not be comparable to other modern console power.

Unfortunately, that means that the hand-crafted world and gameplay designed by Moon Studios and publisher Private Division won’t be available to Nintendo gamers. If you’re one of them and you want to play this game, you’ll have to look into other options.

That’s all for the No Rest for the Wicked’s Nintendo options, but you should know of some other key games to be on the lookout for: Stellar Blade, Alone in the Dark, and xDefiant.
