Many fans will look to utilize this trick to gain NHL 24 early access before the official release time. It appears that the same method will be applicable for the full NHL 24 release date, so it’s worth looking into. Discover if you can access NHL 24 early using the New Zealand time trick below.

NHL 24 New Zealand Time Trick

Access for for the X-Factor edition of EA Sports NHL 24 will begin on October 3. Usually, the release comes at midnight depending on your time zone. This means you can adjust your console’s time zone to a different country to outsmart the system and hop on even earlier.

However, you won’t be able to access this time around! As announced by @TheClapperton on X (formerly Twitter), there will be one unified launch time for NHL 24. This will be 12pm ET, regardless of your location. This gives us a release time of 5pm BST.

Does the New Zealand time trick work for NHL 24?

The New Zealand time trick will not work for NHL 24 early access. This has specifically been stopped by having a single, unified launch. However, we don’t yet know if the same can be said for the worldwide release a few days later.

As far as we can tell, the game’s worldwide launch time is set at midnight local time in your actual location. This means that the New Zealand launch would occur at 7am ET in the United States and 12pm BST in the UK on the previous day.

If this is the case, and EA has only used a unified launch for exclusive access, then the New Zealand time trick should work for the worldwide release. As soon as more information becomes available we will update this section.

While this classic time zone trick can be employed, there might be a slight catch. Switching your time zone on an Xbox is a straightforward process. However, it’s a bit more complex for PlayStation players.

Complications arise only if it’s crucial for your console to remain configured for your local time zone. In such cases, you can create a new PSN account, but that comes with some additional steps.
