NBA 2K24 how to hit a half court shot

Hitting a half court shot in NBA 2K24 is no easy feat. Whether you’re using a MyPLAYER build or a star from the NBA, getting a feel for the shot meter and mechanics is something you will want to work on right away. For example, if you’re using Stephen Curry, he has a much quicker shot motion than let’s say Luka Dončić. So seeing each player has their unique stroke, it’s key to get a feel for their timing first before attempting to do half court shots.

Once you find that player you and are comfortable with their shooting motion, load into Freestyle Mode in the 2KU Menu or play a game, and when reaching the half court line, attempt to take a half court shot. As is the case for every shot you take, the goal is being able to fill up your jump shot meter completely in order to secure the excellent release you’re after. Doing so will give you the best chance at making a half court shot.

However, the most challenging part with making one, is the speed of the shot and how much more difficult it is to fill up your jump shot meter when you’re so far out. Even when you’re using a strong shooter, the demand for excellence is very high, which is why hitting a half court shot is still one of the most difficult aspects of the game.

If you’re eager to nail one though, be sure to try it with a long-range NBA shooting expert that you can comfortably knock down shots with. Curry is the first to come to mind, but Damian Lillard and Trae Young are also great candidates to try it with as well.
