Mortal Kombat 1 online server stress test – how to sign up

Unfortunately, sign ups for the online server stress test have now closed, so if you didn’t get in, you’ll have to wait for the beta. We’ll keep the instructions here though for posterity.

First off, you’ll need a WB Games account – which you may already have from games like MultiVersus. If you haven’t got one, head to the WB Games Account sign up page to get setup.

Once you’ve done that, head to the dedicated Mortal Kombat 1 online server stress test sign-up page, log in with your WB Games Account and follow the instructions to opt into the online server test. Bear in mind that applying doesn’t grant you access, and this test is entirely unrelated to the beta that will take place in August for those who pre-order the game. In other words, purchasing the game does not guarantee you access either. It’s entirely based on who WB Games select.

Make sure you apply before Friday, June 23 – as that’s the date when email invites will be sent out to those lucky players selected. Should you be selected, you’ll get a code in your email inbox (be sure to keep an eye on your junk folders just in case.) The email will have the option to redeem your code, click this and sign in to your WB Games account.

Then, select your platform – either Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5, as that’s the only consoles the test will be available on. (Sorry Switch and PC users.) Be sure which one you want, as you can’t change it once a code has been assigned – and there’s no cross-platform play with this test either. You’ll then be given a code for your platform of choice, which should be redeemed either on the Xbox or PlayStation Store depending on what you’ve chosen.

If, for whatever reason, the button in the email doesn’t work, WB say you can head to the dedicated WB Games Beta page, sign in with your WB Games account and enter the code from your email manually by using the ‘Redeem a beta code’ option.
