Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 release date and contents

Monster hunters have been rampaging for a few weeks now, ever since Monster Hunter Wilds was released. Thousands of monsters have been slain, yet there are even more over the horizon. All to say that a new update is brewing for the game. Dubbed Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1, this patch aims to bring plenty of novelties to the game, including new monsters, monster types, event quests, and more.

When is Title Update 1 coming to Monster Hunter Wilds?

Title Update 1 (also called TU1) is going to be released for Monster Hunter Wilds in early April of 2025. This timeframe was also confirmed recently through the official Monster Hunter X account. The exact date isn’t known yet, but we can speculate based on the current event quest timeline.

The released Event Quest Schedule lists that it will conclude on April 1, 2025, at 7 pm EST. With that in mind, the TU1 update may follow right after that, with the goal being to add a fresh batch of new event quests. However, that hasn’t yet been officially confirmed, and we will update this space when we find out more.

What is in the Title Update 1?

The new update will add several new features to the game. As part of the Title Update 1, the Mizutsune monster will join Monster Hunter Wilds. It is a leviathan which first appeared in Monster Hunter Generations and uses a variety of aquatic attacks.

Another new monster type will be added to the game. We don’t know what it is yet, except that it was teased to be above the Tempered Monsters level. So, while we don’t know what they are, we can at least expect a decent challenge in our future hunts.

Next, a new gathering hub is going to be added to the game, allowing the players to socialize, cook, and simply kick back and relax. This hub will be available once you complete the game’s main quest.

Last but not least, as mentioned, TU1 will add plenty of new event quests. As before, they offer you a chance to earn special rewards, like armour pieces, gestures, and more. All in all, there’s plenty to look forward to once the next update drops.
