Lords of the Fallen – All stats explained

There are six stats that you need to worry about in Lords of the Fallen. Below is what each stat dictates on your character:

• Strength – Determines your character’s strength and scales damage with strength-based weapons like hammers and axes. Also raises, physical, fire, holy, and wither defensive stats as well as smite and frostbite resistance.
• Agility – Increases the value damage of dexterity-based weapons like daggers, smaller shields, and short swords. This stat also increases physical, fire, holy, and wither defenses along with resistances. This also helps with getting high poise.
• Endurance – Raises your maximum stamina along with the weight you can carry. Increasing this will enhance your character’s abilities and allow them to swing their weapon more.
• Vitality – Increases your maximum HP and the weight that your character can carry along with defensive stats and resistances.
• Radiance – Increases the damage of magic spells that are either radiance or Umbral. This stat determines how much damage these spells deal and increases the damage of select weapons.
• Inferno – Like Radiance, this stat increases the damage of Inferno spells and Umbral spells. It also increases your maximum mana and the damage of select weapons.

What are the stat soft caps in Lords of the Fallen?

Each of the stat attributes in Lords of the Fallen has a soft cap that lowers the bonus each level up gives it. The following are the soft cap values in Lords of the Fallen:

Whenever you hit one of the soft caps while leveling up, it will slow down the rate at which you progress with that stat. For instance, when you reach 20 vitality, you will get less maximum HP per level when compared to the amount before level 20.

The previous Lords of the Fallen game with the hero Harkyn had different caps that made progressing in NG and NG+ more difficult. Is there a hard cap in Lords of the Fallen?

As of right now, there doesn’t seem to be a hard cap in Lords of the Fallen. You can have a high strength or agility stat and deal a lot of damage without worrying about a hard cap. A hard cap is when levels in a stat barely increase your attributes and it becomes pointless to level it.

What happens when you reach the soft cap in Lords of the Fallen?

Hitting a soft cap slows down the increases in a stat. For instance, at 20 Agility, you will get less agility per level versus before level 20.

Is it worth leveling a stat past the soft cap in Lords of the Fallen?

Yes. It is still worth leveling a stat through the soft caps as it will still increase your attributes.

Can you respec your character in Lords of the Fallen?

Yes. You can respec your character by visiting Pieta in the main hub called Skyrest Bridge. She becomes available after defeating her in her boss form called Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal. You need a Rebirth Chrysalis to initiate the process.
