This will allow you to invade another player’s world. The competitive play in LotF is very similar to that in other soulslike games. You simply need to defeat the host of the world to earn a Severed Hand. Defeating players in the host’s world will not earn you extra hands.

Where to find the Shrine of Adyr in Lords of the Fallen

To reach the Shrine of Adyr, go to the Ruiner boss arena. This is shortly past the Forsaken Fen. Once there, you need to destroy the Umbral Entity blocking your way. Go under the archway on the opposite side of the bridge and soulflay the back of it to destroy the entity.

Go to the middle of the bridge and you should see some platforms below some boxes you can destroy. These only appear in the Umbral Realm. Follow this pathway down and you will reach the Shrine of Adyr. Now you can donate your Severed Hands and work on getting more armor tincts as well as armor pieces.
