  • Frostbite – Builds up a bar that deals frostbite damage when filled. Decreases enemy poise and halves a player’s stamina.
  • Ignite – Causes a burst of fire. Afterward, the enemy is vulnerable to fire damage which is great if you are a pyromancer.
  • Poison – Fills a bar that inflicts poison damage over time once filled.
  • Smite – Fills a bar that causes a burst of holy damage once filled. Leaves enemies vulnerable to holy damage afterward.

The six status effects can be seen on a weapon’s stats below the strength, agility, radiance, and inferno scaling section.

Weapons, different types of ammunition like arrows, and even magic spells can inflict status effects on foes. Magic can be made stronger by increasing your radiance stat or inferno stat.
