Visiting Pschitoky in the centre of the Kuttenberg Region, having a quick chat with the Krizhan, and parting with 100 groschen (or robbing the man), will get you a map that leads a mine to untold treasures. Or, at least, that’s what the hired hand says. This also conveniently kick-starts the X Marks the Spot task.
Unlike your usual treasure maps in KCD2, this one is busy, swarming with doodles, landmarks, and annotations, which can make tracking down the mine a tough task. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to find the X Marks the Spot location in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
X Marks the Spot map location
To find the location on the X Marks the Spot map, you’ll need to travel north of Kuttenberg and northwest of Sedeltz Monastery in the far east of the Kuttenberg Region. On the map, the town in the bottom left represents Kuttenberg, while the farm house represents the vineyard to the north of the city. Once you reach the Vineyard, follow the road to the right of the farm north, until you reach a crossroads. Veer off the road to the right and you’ll come to a camp – the one marked on the right-hand page of the map.

The camp is patrolled by four bandits that you’ll ideally want to deal with before exploring for the treasure. Once the coast is clear, equip a torch and head into the mine shaft just north of the camp. Press on forward until the mine opens up. There’s a soldier digging on the right that you’ll want to take out with a stealth kill or knock out. Turns out it’s the bandit leader who has the same map that Krizhan gave you on him, along with an armor set that’s worth looting to sell off for an easy haul of groschen.
Before you leave, there are several graves you can dig up in the cave but they don’t contain anything. There’s also a chest (the keys are on the bandit leader’s body) with a few materials inside but really nothing to get excited about.
Talk to Krizhan about the map’s authenticity
Make your way back to Krizhan in Pschitoky to confront him about the sketchy map. Unsurprisingly, he’ll deny having copied the maps, presenting you with a skill check: you can attack him outright or try to get answers through intimidation or speech.
Either way, Krizhan will admit he drew the map himself. You can then decide to ask for the money you spent on the map back or leave it for Krizhan to put towards going back to his studies. This will wrap up the X Marks the Spot task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
