Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 really taps into the RPG aspect by giving you a virtually blank canvas Henry and dozens upon dozens of perks to customize him to suit your playstyle. A boozy, smooth-talker? No problem. A cunning thief that sticks to shadows? Absolutely. A learned scholar? A possibility.
With so many to choose from and the fact that there are limits on how many you unlock in each category, you’ll often find yourself questioning whether you’ve invested perk points wisely. Fortunately, there’s a way to wipe away all your choices and start from scratch. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to reset perks in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
Can you reset perks in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?
To reset perks, you’ll need to consume Lethean Water, a potion that you can either buy or brew up at an alchemy bench yourself. You can then head to the Player portion of the inventory where you’ll see your full allocation of the perk points you’ve earned so far reset. You can then unlock perks from scratch.
From what we know so far from our time with the game, you can pick up the recipe two ways. For both, you’ll need to have progressed the story far enough that you’ve reached the second map, the Kuttenberg Region.

Hand Kona the Thunderstone to get the Lethean Water recipe for free. Captured by VideoGamer
You’ll find Kona in Grund at the end of the Thunderstone side quest. Captured by VideoGamer
You can buy the Recipe for Lethean Water from the Apothecary in Kuttenberg city for 189.70 groschen. Otherwise, you can get it for free by completing the Thunderstone side quest. You’ll need to find the Thunderstone and bring it back to Kona in the village of Grund. It’s a long quest with lots of travelling so be prepared to set aside a couple of hours to wrap it up.
Alternatively, you can simply buy Lethean Water from the Apothecary in Kuttenberg city for 80.50 groschen. This is likely the easiest option as money shouldn’t be too much of an issue at this point in the game. You can also haggle down the price a little to get a better deal.
From what we understand, there’s no limit on how many times you can drink Lethean Water and reset your perks, though, the Apothecary in Kuttenbeg only sells one potion so you’ll need to brew it yourself for any subsequent resets.
How to brew Lethean Water
To craft Lethean Water, you’ll need the following herbs and plants:
- x2 Wormwood
- x1 Belladonna
- x1 Henbane
To brew the potion, follow these steps at an alchemy bench:
- Pour Spirit into the cauldron
- Grind x2 Wormwood in the mortar with the pestle then add it to the cauldron
- Add x1 Belladonna to the cauldron and boil for three turns
- Add x1 Henbane to the cauldron
- Distil
