Is Elden Ring cross-platform? Being available on so many platforms always raises the question and along with it whether or not a game has crossplay.
The latest fantasy epic by FromSoft has captured hearts worldwide, and the expectation is the planned DLC will do so again. With difficult levels and challenging bosses – as a normal trend by FromSoftware – players would seek aid. The multiplayer aspect, like co-op, allows them to summon help and clear the challenge.

Is Elden Ring cross platform?
Elden Ring does not support cross-platform play. Despite being available on PC, Xbox, PS4 and PS5, Elden Ring doesn’t support playing together across different platforms. It is extremely unlikely that this will change, even with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
Why doesn’t Elden Ring have crossplay?
More likely than not, this is a consideration for those who play on PC. Due to how easy it is to mod your game or cheat on the PC version, you would likely run into more cheaters if cross-platform play was enabled.
Arguably, Elden Ring should support crossplay, but you can see that so many restrictions were added to the game’s multiplayer that it makes sense that FromSoft wouldn’t let this happen as a gameplay consideration more than anything else.
You can enjoy the adventure with your friends or strangers on another system, but you will never get full support between different consoles and PCs. For instance, if you are playing on PS5, you won’t be able to play with those on Xbox or PC. Furthermore, those of you who play on PS4 can play with your friends on PS5, and the same goes for cross-play between Xbox One and Xbox Series X versions of Elden Ring.
