Creating Zois with life-like features from scratch is all well and good, but what if you could make yourself in inZOI? Thanks to the marvels of modern technology and the depths of customization options in KRAFTON’s sims-like, you can do just that as long as you have an iOS mobile device.
The process is a little involved and the results a bit hit and miss, but it does give you a starting template to fine tune your Zoi to look just like you. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to use the game’s facial capture tech to make yourself in inZOI.
How to add your face in inZOI
To start, either fire up a New Game from the main menu or access the character creator. Click on the Facial Capture option in the horizontal bar at the top of your screen. You’ll get a window asking you to check that the mobile device you’ll use for facial capture is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your PC. Make sure that’s the case then tap Next.
You’ll then see a QR code on the screen. Scan it with your mobile device and install the Live Link Face app. It’s currently only available for Apple devices with iOS 16 installed, so if you’re on Android, you’re out of luck for the time being.

Click Next and you’ll get a quick primer on the different capture mods in the app. Choose Live link (ARKit) on your mobile device. Tap Next, then select Settings in the top left corner on your mobile device as instructed. Tap Streaming, then Add Target, and enter the IP of the PC you’re using to play inZOI. If you tap read on your PC, inZOI will show your IP address. Don’t worry about the Port option.
Allow you the app to search your local network, then exit Settings. Cycle through the windows on your PC by tapping Next until you need to choose a device to connect. Select the mobile device where the facial capture app is installed. You’ll then snap a selfie through the app and wait for the game to recognise the connection.
A new window will pop up the character creator asking you to confirm that you want to overwrite the current preset. Confirm and it will then render a Zoi based on the picture of your face taken in the app. Once that’s done, you can then fine-tune, tinker, and tweak it using all the same customization options at your disposal when creating a character from scratch.
