MW2 and Warzone 2’s midseason update gives players plenty of fresh features to play around with. Most of the attention during this patch has been placed upon the return of the familiar Shipment map.

However, another particular inclusion that has risen in popularity is the deadly Chimera Assault Rifle. If you’ve always wanted to know how to unlock this new and lethal firearm, then we’ve got you covered.

How to Unlock Chimera AR in MW2 and Warzone 2

You’ll be able to unlock the Chimera AR in MW2 by completing a couple of in-game challenges or by purchasing the bundles it’s included in through the store.

In order to access it without spending money, you’ll have to search for it in Building 21 in Warzone 2 DMZ. Unfortunately, Infinity Ward it seems that this location is currently not included yet in this game mode. According to official channels, there also hasn’t been any indication yet as to when it will go live so players will just have to keep an eye out for this area’s arrival.

Alternatively, you’ll also be able to unlock this weapon by getting two kills with any AR in 15 different matches. If you own MW2, you also won’t have to finish each match for your kills to count. This is because once you’ve earned the frags that you need, you can leave the game that you’re currently in.

On the other hand, you can also earn the weapon by purchasing a couple of specific bundles through the shop. The packs that the weapon is contained in include The Dark Skies Bundle, which is available for 1200 CoD points (approximately $10). It’s also available in The Year of the Rabbit Bundle, which is being sold for 2400 CoD points (approximately $20).
