Genshin Impact – Philanemo Mushroom locations and the best farming route

As you level your characters in Genshin Impact, you’ll need specific materials to do so. You can find Philanemo Mushroom locations all around Mondstadt, specifically around towns and growing on buildings.

There are more than 50 Philanemo Mushroom to grab in Mondstadt, and you can follow specific farm routes for them or just grab them when you want to. As always, Regional Speciality items take two days to respawn in your world.

Philanemo Mushroom locations

The Philanemo Mushroom can only be collected in Mondstadt, as a regional speciality. What makes them different from other herbs is the fact that they are always located above ground on the side of buildings and rooftops. This means you should pick characters that can easily reach high-up locations when farming for these mushrooms.

You should use characters who have good mobility and can help you with all the climbing and jumping you’ll be doing for these mushrooms. Kazuha and Venti are good, as is Zhongli for an extra step up.

There are three major locations where you can Philanemo Mushroom and two vendors you can buy a limited number of them from:

Mondstadt City

There are a total of 25 Philanemo Mushroom scattered across the buildings and rooftops of Mondstadt city; which will be your main hub for Philanemo Mushroom farming. Make use of the central teleporter and scan both halves of the city one by one.

Springvale

The second location to find Philanemo Mushroom is the town of Springvale. While not as numerous as Mondstadt, there are still a total of 17 Philanemo Mushroom to be found in this town across all the buildings. So get your climbing gear out and go hunt for some mushrooms.

The Dawn Winery

The Dawn Winery is the final location where you can find Philanemo Mushroom in the wild; however, you will only find a total of seven Philanemo Mushroom here so keep your requirements in mind as it may not be worth all the effort.

Botanist Chloris (Merchant)

Botanist Chloris can be found wandering a path near Windrise in Mondstadt, and she is a merchant who will sell you various herbs including Philanemo Mushroom. Bear in mind however that she has a stock pretty limited stock, consisting of only five Philanemo Mushroom, which she sells for 1000 Mora each. With that said, her stock refreshes every three days, so you can keep coming back for more.

Merchant Babak (Merchant)

Babak is an NPC merchant added in the Sumeru update and is located in Port Ormos. He has a stock of five Philanemo Mushroom and sells them for 1000 Mora each. However, similar to the Botanist Chloris, he will restock his wares every three days; which is the standard stock replenishment time for all merchants who sell specialities in the game.

Philanemo Mushroom best farming route

When collecting your Philanemo Mushroom, you should start at Mondstadt by climbing the windmills. From there, you can get a good vantage to glide to other locations on the above map. From Mondstadt, teleport to Springvale and do a ring around the town, checking every building and rooftop. Lastly, make a stopover at the Dawn Winery to grab the stragglers and finish up your farming route.

Klee marks Mondstadt Regional Specialities on your mini map. If you have her in your team, you will have a much easier time tracking down your targets!

Philanemo Mushroom usage

Mona, Klee, and Barbara are the only characters who use the Philanemo Mushroom for Ascension. They can also be used to craft the Anemo Treasure Compass. To fully Ascend one of these characters, you will need a total of 168 Philanemo Mushrooms. Outside of the character Ascension, Philanemo Mushroom have no other character usage.
