After stealing the document from the Rathaus in Troskowitz, Kreyzl abandons the dough golem idea, but his shenanigans don’t stop. He plans to get access to Torsky Castle to get valuable information in an alchemy book using yet another widely convoluted plan: doll up a bathhouse wench to seduce the Trosky chamberlain, Ulrich, at the wedding party, and get Henry access to the castle as her bodyguard.
As always, Kreyzl has you going around the houses to put the plan into action, including finding a suitable companion at the Zhelejov bathhouse, a red cotehardie dress of Tyrolean brocade and some Mintha perfume. While the dress and the companion are easy enough to find, the perfume is a whole other matter. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get Mintha Perfume in the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Opus Magnum side quest.
Where to find Mintha perfume in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
To get Mintha perfume, you have several options:
- Convince Innkeeper Betty to give you hers, steal it, or buy it off her
- Buy the alchemy recipe from the apothecary in Troskowitz and brew it yourself
How to steal Mintha perfume from Innkeeper Betty
Make your way over to Troskowitz tavern and talk to the Innkeeper Better. Choose the ‘I hear you have some Mintha perfume’ dialogue option’. She’s down to two phials but is reluctant to part ways with it. You can buy it off her for a steep 499 groschen. If you have the cash, by all means go for it to save yourself some hassle. You can also try to convince her with the Speech skill that she doesn’t need the perfume, but it’s a tough skill check that tends to fail.
This leaves you with one option: thievery. Head into the tavern and into the store room. Go up the stairs into the restricted area and take a right. You’ll find a chest you can lockpick to the left of the large bed with the white drapes. Inside, you’ll find the perfume, though it’s a hard difficulty lock, which may be beyond the means of lots of players at this point in the game.
How to brew Mintha Perfume
An alternative and a much easier (not to say cheaper) method is to head over to the apothecary shop in Troskowitz. You can ask the Apothecary Emmerich if he has any in stock, but Betty has bought him out of the stuff and he doesn’t have a drop left. Instead, ask to trade, head to the Books tab, and you can buy the Recipe for Mintha perfume for a steep 196.5 groschen. Hand over the cash or haggle to get the price down a bit. Head to your inventory and learn the recipe.
To brew Mintha perfume, you’ll need x3 Dandelion, x1 Marigold, and x1 Mint. You can find all these plants and herbs in and around Troskowitz so they shouldn’t be too hard to find. Look in the apothecaries garden and the fields on the edge of the village. If you want to save time, you can buy them all from the apothecary, though they’ll be dried so the results won’t be quite as potent. Fresh herbs are always better.
Head over to the alchemy bench in the shack near the apothecary. To make Mintha, you’ll need to follow these steps:
- Pour wine into the cauldron
- Grind x3 dandelion and x1 Mint into the mortar with the pestle and add them to the cauldron
- Boil the mixture for two turns
- Add x1 Marigold to the cauldron mixture and boil for one turn using the bellows
- Distil the mixture
Once the Mintha is made, you can go about picking up the dress from Troskowitz and enlisting the bathhouse companion to progress the Opus Magnum quest.
