Fortnite Winterfest 2022, the battle royale’s annual holiday event, typically gives players a ton of freebies to celebrate the season of giving. Users that participate during the event will be able to unwrap a free present at the Lodge everyday throughout its duration.

However, there are also a few rewards that will require you to meet specific conditions in order to earn them. An example of a prize that you can get by accomplishing an objective is the Curling Iron Emote. Here’s how you can get it in the game.
How to Get Curling Iron Emote in Fortnite Winterfest 2022
To get the Curling Iron Emote, you’ll need to play with five different friends in any mode during the event. Keep in mind that you’ll only need to finish these matches and you won’t be required to win them. Once you’ve played with five different people, you’ll be rewarded the Curling Iron Emote on or around January 6 3PM PT / 6PM ET according to Fortnite’s blog post.

There will also apparently be another free Emote in one of the gifts you unwrap. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been revealed yet so you’ll just have to keep opening presents until you find it.
There are also plenty of additional goodies in store for all players involved in the event. Those who simply log-in throughout Winterfest’s duration will receive a Guff Gringle Outfit and the Chill-la-la-Llama Back Bling for free.
So get started on unwrapping those presents as soon as you can so you don’t miss any content. Fortnite Winterfest 2022 has begun and will continue to run until January 3, 2023 at 6AM PT / 9AM ET.
