How To Get Reality Augments in Fortnite

You do not have to complete any annoying quests or kill an NPC boss to take advantage of this new mechanic. You simply have to survive while playing the game mode you want. The game will reward you when it sees you as a championship candidate.

You can activate Reality Augments on the right side of the screen by pressing 7 in the default settings. After you press the button, a new menu will open. In this menu you will see two Perks selected completely randomly. If you want, you can re-roll the first one for free, and the next one will cost you 100 Gold Bars.

Although there are 22 reality enhancements in total, you can activate up to four of them per game. So make sure you make your choice wisely. However, you do not have to limit yourself too much, since these perks make the game much more interesting anyway.

Every Reality Augments in Fortnite

You can make different choices in many consecutive matches and diversify your game. This also means that you will not be dependent on one perk.

  • Aerialist: You can use your Glider again until the game is over.
  • Bloodhound: You mark your enemies for a short time when you hit with your bow and sniper rifles.

  • Mechanical Archer: You get one Mechanical Explosive Bow and Mechanical Shockwave Bow each.
  • More Parkour: Every time you jump, your energy/stamina is briefly replenished.
  • Party Time: You get Balloons for the duration of your survival.
  • Pistol Amp: All your pistols have increased ammo capacity.
  • Rifle Recycle: Your weapons that use medium ammo sometimes have the chance to not waste ammo.
  • Rushing Reload: If you are equipped with a shotgun, it will slowly reload as you sprint.
  • Soaring Sprints: As you sprint, you will jump higher and feel less gravity.
  • Splash Medic: There is a chance to spawn Chug Splash from all chests on the map.
  • Storm Mark: When the new storm zone is clear, you can briefly see the area with the most enemies.
  • Supercharged: The vehicles you drive do not run out of fuel and their health increases over time.
  • Tactical Armory: You get a rare Tactical AR and a Combat Shotgun, with the model being random.
  • Tricked Out: Chonkers and Cow Catcher are applied to the cars and trucks you drive.

It’s unclear whether Reality Augments will remain in play over the next few seasons. But it is clearly one of the most influential innovations in Chapter 4 Season 1.

Since there are no remotely visible effects, you can not know what Perks other players have chosen. Therefore, you should approach the players you encounter on the new Fortnite map even more cautiously. You do not want them to take you out, because they can reload much faster than you.
