Bot lobbies are a brilliant way of practicing and playing MW2 casually. Unfortunately, getting them isn’t all that easy since you’re often placed automatically into matches through the skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) system.

How do you get Bot Lobbies in MW2?
You can only get bot lobbies in the game either through the creation of a smurf account or by manipulating SBMM itself. Unfortunately, both of these methods aren’t exactly officially welcomed so you may be faced with heavy repercussions if you were ever to get caught. For this reason, we do not condone the use of any of the methods that we listed as this is purely for educational purposes.
How to manipulate SBMM in MW2?
One of the ways you can manipulate SBMM into placing you in bot lobbies is by feeding or intentionally playing badly. Of course, this may result in your teammates reporting you for ruining their experience. However, on the off chance that you can get off scot-free, you will surely be placed into low skill games after a few matches of having an abysmal KDA.

Another technique of playing in bot lobbies is by simply inviting some of your lesser skilled friends to join you in finding a game. Since low ranking players are almost always placed in relatively easy lobbies to get them acclimated to the game, you will inevitably placed in the same matches along with them.
The final method that you can use to get yourself into bot lobbies can only be attempted by console players. This includes turning off the cross-play option so the matchmaking system fills empty spots with either bots or players that perform poorly.
