Wondering how to get an XDefiant beta code? The XDefiant closed beta is now in full swing, granting players their first taste of Ubisoft’s new free-to-play arena shooter ahead of its full release later this year.
Having launched on April 13, it’s still possible to snap up an XDefiant code and redeem it before the servers are switched off next week. In this guide, we’ll outline all the ways to get an XDefiant beta code. Check out our XDefiant beta dates and rewards guide for more on the closed beta.
How to play XDefiant
The easiest way to get an XDefiant beta code is to sign up on Ubisoft’s official XDefiant website. Access isn’t guaranteed, and you’re essentially signing up for a chance to participate in the XDefiant beta. However, from what we’ve heard so far, Ubisoft has been quite generous with handing out XDefiant redeem codes.
If you’re selected to participate, you’ll receive an email with instructions to redeem the code online and access the beta on the platform of your choice. The XDefiant beta is available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
Anyone who manages to get access will have five invites to share with friends, so be sure to nudge your pals if you don’t receive a code through the Ubisoft website yourself.
XDefiant Beta Twitch drops
You can also potentially get an XDefiant beta code from Twitch drops as well. You’ll need to spend at least 30 minutes watching a partnered streamer playing XDefiant on Twitch to be in with a chance of securing a code. You can find partnered channels by going to the XDefiant category on Twitch and looking out for streamers with ‘drops enabled’ in their stream title.
Ensure you have a Ubisoft account and are signed up for Ubisoft Twitch drops beforehand. If you’re on PlayStation or Xbox, link your console to your Ubisoft account. After watching a stream, claim your XDefiant code in your Twitch inventory, then submit the code on the Ubisoft redemption website.
