Honkai Star Rail – March 7th Ascension and Trace Materials

March 7th’s Ascension and Trace materials are needed to level up and increase her shield capabilities in Honkai Star Rail. If you want to invest in March 7th, you’ll be rewarded with a strong shield unit who can get you through plenty of tough encounters. Before you go about building March 7th, you need to invest in levelling them up by gathering their required Ascension and Trace materials.

These materials are found by defeating enemies and they will let you break level barriers and enhance March’s overall kit. As an Ice Preservation character, March 7th requires specific materials that can be farmed from the various challenges in the game.

March 7th Ascension materials in Honkai Star Rail

To Ascend and level March 7th, you will need to gather Thief’s Instinct/Usurper’s Scheme/Conqueror’s Will. You will also need the Horn of Snow, which is the main Ascension material needed for Ice characters characters in Honkai Star Rail. The Horn of Snow can be farmed from the Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Rime. This Stagnant Shadow can be found on Jarilo IV, in the bottom right section of the Corridor of Fading Echoes. Beat the boss and spend 30 Trailblazer Energy to collect a Horn of Snow.

Elsewhere, the Thief’s Instinct/Usurper’s Scheme/Conqueror’s Will can be farmed from Assignments and Anti-matter Legion enemies. We’ve put together a table to show you how much you’ll need to get March 7th to level 80. You’ll need the following materials to ascend Asta in Honkai Star Rail:

As ever, the above materials are only half the battle when it comes to levelling your March 7th. To do it quickly, you need sufficient level-up books to increase your character’s EXP. These can be farmed from the Calyx (Golden).

March 7th Trace level-up materials in Honkai Star Rail

To increase March 7th’s Traces in Honkai Star Rail, you’ll need to gather even more materials. These can be farmed via the same means as other materials and there will be a lot of crossover with the Ascension and Trace materials. Using the crafting system, you can use any excess materials to craft the next rarity which will help you get through the Trace levels.

Each character needs a Weekly Boss drop from the Echo of War, and Asta requires the Destroyer’s Final Road. On top of that, you need to gather specific Trace materials for Preservation characters, which are called Endurance of Bronze/Oath of Steel/Safeguard of Amber. You can farm these from the Bud of Preservation. Here is a list of everything you’ll need.

• 28x Thief’s Instinct
• 54x Oath of Steel
• 42x Usurper’s Scheme
• 105x Safeguard of Amber
• 42x Conqueror’s Will
• 12x Destroyer’s Final Road
• 5x Tracks of Destiny
• 2.4 Million Credits

When you have all of these materials, you will be able to level all of March 7th’s talents to the max and Ascend her to the maximum level.
