By modern video game standards, Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 is a short experience. None of the 100-hour slogs ticking off endless clusters of map objectives or drawn-out narratives with dozens of twists and turns. It’s condensed down into six short chapters that punctuate major story beats, with each one taking no more than an hour or an hour and a half to finish.

How long to beat Hellblade 2
To beat Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2, you’ll need to set aside between 5 and 9 hours. A rushed playthrough can be completed in just over 5 hours if you really storm through the story and have a knack for solving the game’s puzzles quickly. But, on average, most players that adopt a classic playstyle will fall somewhere between 7 to 8 hours of playtime before they hit the credits. In other words, it’s a game most players can get through in a few sittings or over the space of a couple of days.
Hitting 100% should take no more than 8 to 9 hours and that involves getting all the trophies, and finding all the collectibles – Lorestangir rune totems and Hidden Faces that conceal secret paths leading to a tree and a spot of added in-game lore. Thanks to a useful chapter select feature, it’s easy to jump back into select portions of the game where you might have missed a collectible without having to put yourself through an entire playthrough.
For our review, the total playtime ticked past 12 hours but that involved a lot of pausing for notes, guides, and getting all the trophies to pop, so isn’t all that representative of what most players will experience. Generally, Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 is on the shorter side whatever your playstyle.
