Venturing out in the cold, frosty expanse requires grit and determination, but most of all, you’ll need to find those willing to put their lives at risk for the betterment of New London. However you construct your city or guide its inhabitants, there comes a time when you need to explore to find new resources, set up exterior operations, and bring in new Frostlanders.

To do this, you’ll need specialised units of scouts, support crews, and frostland workers known as Frostland Teams. We’ll walk you through how to get more Frostland Teams.

How to outfit Frostland Teams

To get more Frostland Teams, you’ll need to construct Logistics Districts. To do this, tap the Construct Districts button in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, then select Logistics District from the options. Note that a Logistics District can only be built on an Old Waystation. You’ll typically find these positioned on the outskirts of the map. Make sure to Frostbreak the area around the Waystation. Place down the district then wait for construction to complete, which requires x400 Workforce, x40 Heatstamps, and x200 Prefabs.

For every Logistics District, you’ll get 15 Frostland Teams, but you can increase this number to 20 by building an Expanded Logistics District. To do this, click on a built Logistics District then on the four-arrow symbol at the bottom of the window as highlighted in the image above. Place down the three expansion slots around the district then tap the check mark.

How to use Frostland Teams

To use Frostland Teams, bring up the Frostland map by tapping the mountain icon in the top right of the screen like in the image above. You’ll then get a map overview of the regions surrounding your settlement. From here, select a region to see the Frostland Team requirements then tap Launch Expedition. Once the region has been explored, you can visit specific parts to discover new settlements, potential colonies, Frostlanders, cores, resources, and more.

You can check how many Frostland Teams you have available at any time by looking at the compass symbol in the HUD in the top-right of the screen. It’s to the left of the Tutorials question mark icon. Do note that resource deposits that can be temporarily settled require a permanent garrison of Frostland Teams, which is deducted from your total when active.
