Fortnite’s crossover with Avatar: The Last Airbender is here and with it comes a collection of new quests to complete and items to unlock. A major part of the event is the presence of Chakras, which seem to be key to progression and unlocking some of the best items in the event.
But it’s not really explained what Chakras are, nor is it clear what Chi is. So if you’re confused by all these terms too, we’ve put together a quick guide to explain what Chakras are, what you need Chi for and how to get both in the Fortnite Avatar event.
What do Chakras mean in Fortnite’s Elements Pass?
Chakras are essentially checkpoints to complete in the Elements Pass that lead to unlocking the Appa Glider, the main reward from the pass. There are six Chakras in total, and you’ll need to complete each one in order to unlock the Appa Glider.
Each Chakra is essentially a collection of six available quests. These will require you to achieve certain objectives that are either linked to the Chakra itself, such as landing in water for the water Chakra, or are just references to the series, such as destroying a cabbage cart.
In each Chakra, players will need to complete four out of the six available quests in order to unlock that Chakra. Completed quests in each Chakra will also provide players with a certain amount of Chi – more on that down below.
Not all the Chakras are available to complete at once. Every three days, a new Chakra will become available with a new set of quests to complete. All you have to do is come back every few days and complete four quests in each Chakra and you’ll have the Appa Glider come the final one.
What Chakras are there in Fortnite?
At the time of writing, only the first two Chakras have been unlocked, with players being able to complete all of the quests available in the Water Chakra and Earth Chakra. Here is the full list of Chakras and when each one becomes available:
- Water Chakra (LIVE) – 12 April
- Earth Chakra (LIVE) – 15 April
- Fire Chakra (LIVE) – 18 April
- Air Chakra (LIVE) – 22 April
- Light Chakra (LIVE) – 25 April
- Sound Chakra (LIVE) – 25 April
For each upcoming Chakra, they will become available on their release date at 2PM BST / 9AM ET.
What is Chi in Fortnite’s Elements Pass?
Chi is equivalent to XP progression in the Elements Pass. In the Elements Pass menu, there are two sets of rewards for the free and premium reward track. For every 1,000 Chi earned, a new tier of the pass will be unlocked, rewarding players with emotes, back bling, pickaxes and even an alternative Aang skin. In total, it takes 11,000 Chi to unlock everything.
The top row of rewards in the Element’s Pass can be unlocked completely free. However, the bottom row is for premium pass owners, and will require you to buy the pass for 1,000 V-Bucks, so make sure you have enough!
