Thorne’s Vampiric Blade is a new Fortnite weapon added with the v26.30 update. The weapon was first teased in the Season 4 trailer, but Epic Games saved it for the Fortnitemares event. Considering the theme of the weapon and Kado Thorne’s background, this move makes a lot of sense.
The new Mythic weapon is a variant of the Kinetic Blade, a fan-favorite item from Chapter 4 – Season 2. The item was very popular due to its mobility features. However, considering that Epic vaulted it at one point in the season, many players wanted it to return.
The new item not only offers mobility and damage but also siphon.
Where is Thorne’s Vampiric Blade located in Fortnite?
Thorne’s Vampiric Blade is an exclusive weapon that will likely be available only during the Fortnitemares 2023 event. However, considering that the event will end at the same time as the current season, we know that it’ll be active for at least three more weeks.
Unlike the other Mythics in the game, which were previously obtained from Display Cases in Vaults, the new item is obtained by eliminating Revenant Kado Thorne. The boss can be found by the Time Machine at Eclipsed Estate and drops his new weapon.
The Time Machine is located after the main vault area where Display Cases used to be. After walking through the area, you will see another room that has the machine and the new Fortnite boss.
Defeating Kado Thorne will now also grant a new accolade and 2,000 XP. This can be done once per match, but considering how amazing the new item is, many players will likely land at Thorne’s residence to take him down.
In addition to this, Epic Games added a new Reality Augment called Mythic Grab Bag. The perk grants you a random Mythic item when you activate it, meaning that you can get Thorne’s Vampiric Blade from it as well.
