Fortnite: How to get Subzero Cryptic for free

Epic Games has released many free Fortnite skins over the past few weeks. In December 2023, you are able to unlock six skins for free. On top of that, two more skins will be available during the Winterfest 2023 event.

The most recent free Fortnite skin is Subzero Cryptic. However, there’s a catch, as the skin is not available to everyone. If you’d like to add it to your locker, though, our guide has everything you need to know about it.

Where to get Subzero Cryptic for free in Fortnite?

Subzero Cryptic is a new Fortnite skin that is available for free. However, the skin is only available to PlayStation Plus subscribers. Technically, if you don’t have a PS Plus subscription, the skin won’t be free for you. If you do, however, you can go to the PlayStation Store and grab it for free for a limited time.

The new skin is included in the Chilling Mystery Pack. If you can’t find it in the store, use the search function and type this in. Besides the skin, you will also receive the Cryptic Sling-kit Back Bling and Cryptic Coaster Glider.

If you are not a PlayStation player, you can still get the skin. However, this process is more complicated and requires you to get access to a PlayStation console. After that, you need to create a PSN account and link it to your Epic Games account. Finally, subscribe to PlayStation Plus and obtain the skin. The Cryptic Subzero skin will be available in your Fortnite account regardless of the gaming system you play on. However, you can only obtain it on PlayStation.

You can use the new Fortnite skin in every core mode, including LEGO Fortnite and Rocket Racing. However, we have to add that the skin will be available for a limited time. While its expiry date hasn’t been revealed yet, it will likely be available for two months.
